How do I get tickets transferred from the MLB Ballpark App?

Modified on Thu, Jul 31 at 11:26 AM

Did you receive an email saying your tickets were forwarded through the MLB Ballpark App?
You're in the right place. This guide will help you accept your tickets and view them on your phone using the MLB Ballpark App.

Step 1: Check Your Email or Go Straight to the App

After the seller initiates the transfer, you’ll typically receive an email from one of the following senders:

Subject lines may look like:

  • “You have just been forwarded [Team Name] tickets…”

  • “Congratulations, [Your First Name]…”

Inside the email, look for a green “Access Tickets” button. Clicking it will guide you to sign in and complete the transfer through the MLB Ballpark App.

Here’s what the email might look like:

Already have the MLB Ballpark App set up with the same email you used at purchase?
You can skip the email and go straight to the app — your tickets will appear automatically once you log in.

Step 2: Download the MLB Ballpark App

If you haven’t already, download the MLB Ballpark App for free from the App Store or Google Play.
This is the official app used to access and scan your tickets at the ballpark.

Step 3: Log In or Create Your MLB Ballpark Account

After installing the app, open it and sign in using the same email address used to place your order and receive the transfer email.

You’ll be given two sign-in options:

  1. Send Me an Email to Log In – This sends a one-time login link to your inbox. Tap the “Log In” button in the email to access your account.

  2. Log In with Password – If you've already created a password for your MLB account, you can enter it here instead.

If you're new to the app, tap “Sign Up” and follow the prompts to create your account. Be sure to use the same email address that received the transfer.

Step 4: Verify Your Email

Before you can view your tickets, you’ll need to verify your account.

Check your inbox for an email from MLB.com with the subject:
“Verify your email address”

Open the email and tap the “Verify Email” button to complete your registration.

Tickets will not appear in your app until this step is completed.

Step 5: Access Your Tickets

Once your email is verified:

  1. Open the MLB Ballpark App.

  2. Tap the “Tickets” icon at the bottom of the screen.

  3. If your tickets don’t appear immediately, wait 5–10 minutes and then tap “Refresh” (bottom right).

Once visible, you’ll be able to view your tickets and add them to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Don’t see a barcode?
That’s completely normal! MLB uses mobile-only tickets that may not display a barcode when added to your wallet. These tickets are still 100% valid and will scan at the gate.

Helpful Tips:

  • Be sure you’re signed in with the same email address that received the ticket transfer.

  • If the tickets aren’t visible immediately, refreshing the app after a few minutes usually resolves it.

  • Ticket barcodes are not visible on desktop — use the MLB Ballpark mobile app.
